How to Complete the Surrey Scavenger Hunt
Before you begin, make sure to download the Scavenger Hunt PDF as your guide.
- Use the PDF to help keep track of your progress! You can do this virtually on your device or print a copy to bring along on your adventure.
Step 1: Let’s Go Birdwatching in Surrey
- Check out a Birding Location or two on the Surrey Bird Trail Itinerary
Check off the places you visit on the PDF, OR check in at these locations on the BC Bird Trail App!
Step 2: Birdwatching Bingo!
- Go birding and play our Birding Bingo game in the PDF! Can you get a BINGO?
Step 3: After All That Exploring, Let’s Head Into Town!
- After all that bird-watching, treat yourself to something delicious! Sip a rich cup of coffee at a local café, like Crescent Coffee House or savour global flavours on the Surrey Spice Trail, like at Afghan Kitchen. It’s your chance to recharge and support the small businesses that make Surrey so vibrant.
Step 4: Time For Some Birding Trivia!
- Answer the birding trivia questions on the PDF! How many can you answer correctly? Find the correct answers at the bottom of the PDF to check your work.
Step 5: Let’s Get Creative!
- Find a quiet bench or log near the water. Observe a bird that’s perched, feeding, or gliding nearby. Draw what you see! Try capturing key features like beak shape, feather patterns, or body shape.
